Reduced drag, free speed
By engineering a shorter, narrower and deeper hull shape a reduced wetted surface area can be achieved resulting in a reduction in drag increasing velocity for the same power output.
Optimised for higher stroke rates
The sustained higher stroke rates over 2k (35-40spm) today’s high performance athletes achieve are where the real advantages of this hull shape are realised.
The resulting slightly shorter strokes provide the perfect balance of dynamic stability and speed in this shorter hull.
Industry leading construction
Unlike many of our competitors we use only unidirectional prepreg high modulus carbon fibre in our Cobra & Medalist constructions to ensure unmatched durability, impact resistance as well as torsional and longitudinal stiffness compared to other elite level brands.

We’re firm believers of scientifically backing up any claims we make which is why we had the FLX independently tested by World Renowned rowing Biomechanist Dr Valery Kleshnev of BioRow against the two other leading elite level brands.
GERMAN DESIGN
Our FLX hulls are designed by renowned shell designer and naval architect, Klaus Filter. Klaus was former chairman of the FISA Materials Commission and the Director of Research and Development for East German rowing for thirty years prior to reunification. Over the past 60 years no architect’s boats have won more International gold medals than those of Klaus Filter and they are the most copied hull designs on the planet!
