He calculated and applied extensive data to refine the shape, waterline, and thus the wetted surface accordingly. Best for: Elite Athletes/High Stroke RatesThe all new FLX is born out of the desire to create the most efficient hull shape on the market. This narrower, shorter and deeper hull shape achieves less wetted surface area resulting in a reduction in drag and an increased velocity for the same power output. Proven marginal gains in testing against other elite level rival brands could be the difference between winning and losing.
The sustained higher stroke rates (35-40spm) over 2k achieved by today’s high performance athletes are where the real advantages of this hull shape are realised. The resulting slightly shorter strokes provide the perfect balance of dynamic stability and speed.
